A Road Trip to Halifax

Although we did a big tour of Nova Scotia last year, circumstances lead us to take another trip east this year. This time we took a van load of stuff -- mostly wedding gifts and a bed -- for Kristin and Michael to aid in their move to Halifax near the end of August.

Our original plan included a return trip through Maine and New Hampshire, with a stop at Franconia in the White Mountains, but you know how something always gets forgotten when you go away? This time it was our passports. Therefore, we had to do a re-route to remain in Canada, which was pretty all right since we ended up with another nice visit in Quebec City.

As usual, we take our time and limit the daily driving as much as possible. That made the road trip four days to get there, three days to spend there, and four days to get back (which included a great hike to see Cape Split).
