I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Team Chelmo (Chrome)

Team Chelmo (pronounced "Shellmo") is comprised of New Zealand geocachers Chelle and two kids, plus Elmo and two kids. They have been geocaching since April 2006 and are finding (and placing) lots of caches. And they also came up with a beautiful geocoin! In my photograph, I have actually reversed the two sides because I thought that was the way it went. The obverse features a map of New Zealand (land of the long white cloud) surrounded by a translucent sea. On the reverse we see a Tuatara Lizard and Kiwi with Mount Cook in the background. Both animals are part of New Zealand's unique fauna.

Size: 44 mm
This is described as an LE, no idea how many were made (less than 100 I would suppose)
