Introducing John Floyd

The Clements family is excited to introduce John Floyd Locsin. On Christmas Eve Jennifer and I made a trip to the mall where we visted the World Vision booth and chose John Floyd to sponsor through the World Vision program.

John Floyd lives with his parents in a poor area of the Philippines. His father is self-employed but his earnings are barely enough to provide for his family. His mother stays at home caring for her family.

John Floyd was born on April 19, 2000 (same birthday as Dan!) and was in kindergarten at the time of this picture, but is probably in grade one now. His favourite subject is mathematics and he has satisfactory health.

Our contribution is small in comparison to the life we are able to have in Canada, but will mean a lot to John Floyd and his family. Although we do not yet know if John knows English, we will begin writing letters to him soon.
