Spud502

British Columbia geocacher Spud502 came out with his personal geocoin in December 2006. This version shown here is the 'correct' geocoin, meaning it has soft enamel on the front (the Spud side), and what's called imitation hard enamel on the back. The hard enamel means the back is smooth, but the soft enamel means you can feel and see the texture from the embossing.

For Spud502's geocoin, the mint messed up and made both sides hard. So they had to remint, and everyone who bought a coin received the correct one, and the error coin, both with the same tracking number.
