I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Canadian Forces #2

Canadian Forces #2

The Canadian Forces Geocachers geocoin set features the names of cachers who are members of the Canadian Forces, both current and retired. These geocoins were not offered for public sale and were only available from the members listed on the geocoins. I was fortunate to receive some from 2happy2gether who is a member of our local geocaching group. (Thanks, Scott!) The obverse features a wonderful engraving of the Tri-Service Badge. The badge is the symbol of the Canadian Forces, which was formed in 1968 when the government of Canada merged the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Navy, and the Royal Canadian Air Force into a unified structure. Canada remains one of the few developed countries in the world using this model to organize the military.
