I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Flying Spaghetti Monster is a groundspeak forum moderator and the leader of The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the adherents of which practice pastafarianism (full details can be found here). This geocoin is a winner, not just because of its depiction of the FSM, but also because it has sparkles and googly eyes. Not many geocoins have googly eyes. Or pirate skeleton fish, that glows in the dark on this black version of the coin.

The FSM geocoin was minted in four flavours: gold, silver, and black, all with blue glitter around the edge, plus this black version with a red glitter edge.

If you ever find yourself doubting what course of action to take in life, do as the geocoin advises and ask yourself "What Would Flying Spaghetti Monster Do?"
