I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Matlock75 (Nickel)

Matlock75 (Nickel)

Matlock75 is a German geocacher, whose hometown is shown on the map on the reverse (marked by the dart tip, and the kite), along with his birthplace, which is where the footprints start. The compass rose on the front of this geocoin is fabulous and makes fantastic use of translucent enamels over different textures. This geocoin has to be held to be truly appreciated.
