Alaska 2006 (Silver w/Gold)

This Alaska 2006 geocoin was minted by the Alaska Mint. It is 1 oz of .999 silver with 24k gold relief and rim, and 125 pieces were made. In the photograph, I have chosen to allow the mirrored fields to appear black to set off the devices of the coin. This effect is one way of viewing the coin in person, depending on how you tip it in the light. The coin itself comes sealed in a hard plastic capsule inside a velvet jewelry-style box. A fine, proof-like coin indeed, and I love the wolf.
