I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Ranger216 Trainset #G4

Ranger216 Trainset #G4

Ranger216, a train-loving geocacher from Schuylkill County, PA, undertook a very ambitious project for his person geocoin! He issued 250 train sets, each consisting of four separate trackable geocoins, for a total of 1,000 geocoins, plus some more engines and cabooses that were created later due to popular demand. The geocoin sets were issued in several finishes. This is the gold version, of which only 25 sets were made.

There was a brief thought to not include a caboose, since they aren't used anymore. However, the "save the caboose" campaign on the geocoin forum quickly eliminated that idea. The caboose has the Waymarking logo, which is a whole other game.
