I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

SirGerald

SirGerald
SirGerald is a long-time geocacher from American Fork, Utah. When I first saw this geocoin in a small online picture, I thought the engraving was of a knight standing in front of a castle. It wasn't until I received one in the mail that I discovered it is an owl sitting on a sword in front of a castle. It is a nice surprise when what you thought was a nice design turns out to be an even better design. Upon holding it in hand, I also discovered that the geocoin is not round, but a hexadecagon. Or, as some people may call it, a hexakaidecagon.
